Beauty tips: what can you do to avoid spots when you go back to school?
While spots tend to fade during the first few weeks of vacation, skin sometimes experiences a harsh return to reality when it's time to go back to school.
Unless you anticipate well and adopt key actions.
Why do acne pimples come back after summer?
When exposed to the sun, the stratum corneum naturally thickens to protect itself from UV rays (this is called “keratosis”). This slows down the natural elimination of sebum.
Add to this the occlusive effect of certain sun creams whose rich formula is sometimes poorly suited to problem skin, as well as the aggressions caused by chlorine, excess perspiration... The pores end up becoming clogged, and comedones and blackheads are sure to appear.
This is the ideal breeding ground for the C. Acnes bacteria, which causes skin inflammation with the appearance of red papules, then white pustules.
Prevention: good anti-acne reflexes to adopt
- Drink 1.5l of water/day
- Consume foods rich in zinc
- Cleanse your face morning and evening with a gentle foaming solution, without rubbing
- Apply non-comedogenic, purifying and moisturizing products morning and evening.
- Take a Pure Glow treatment from the beginning of July to the end of September to balance the skin from within during this high-risk period. Inside, we find probiotics , purifying zinc and anti-inflammatory and healing turmeric.
In treatment: the right anti-acne skincare routine
1. Gentle cleansing
Don't strip the hydrolipidic film with irritating formulas. This is the best way to cause overproduction of sebum and therefore a rebound effect. A soap-free lather with a physiological pH is recommended.
2. A delicate exfoliation
Helping skin renew itself by removing dead cells is a great idea. As long as you use a grain-free exfoliant based on keratolytic agents such as AHA or BHA. Be sure to apply them at night and use sunscreen every day. For sensitive skin, opt for gentler azelaic, shikimic, or succinic acids.
3. Perfect hydration
From the age of 30, the hydrolipidic film begins to deteriorate, becoming thinner and therefore more porous. To compensate for the insensible loss of water, drench your skin with a moisturizing treatment based on hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, or glycerin. Choose a watery texture like a serum. or light gel-cream to provide water but not lipids which could make the epidermis greasy.
4. A deep rebalancing
Book your treatment at Glow Studio AIME Skin experts have developed a treatment to renew the skin. Deep cleansing under a vaporizer, extraction of blackheads, facial drainage to promote detoxification, purifying mask... The protocol ends with the famous sessions of purifying blue LEDs.
The key: a fresher complexion, refined skin texture and the glow we love!
