Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What are probiotics used for?
At AIME, we are convinced that a balanced microbiota is the secret to healthy skin. That's why we've formulated all our formulas with probiotics. Through their action on the "microbiome", which refers to the environment in which the microbiota thrives, i.e. all our microbial flora, probiotics rebalance the intestine. By balancing the microbiota, our probiotic-based formulas take care of your skin.
When should probiotics be taken?
It can be beneficial to consume probiotics when imbalances occur in the body. These imbalances can manifest themselves in a variety of ways, particularly in terms of immunity or the digestive system: fungal infections, cystitis, bloating, slow or rapid transit, etc.
How long should probiotics be taken?
To see visible, lasting results, we recommend a course of treatment lasting at least 3 months. However if your concerns have been long standing, you can extend the course by a further 3 months or even take the course continuously, as there is no contraindication to taking it over the long term.
Why should probiotics be taken on an empty stomach?
On an empty stomach, the body is able to better absorb the nutrients it is going to consume first. For greater effectiveness, we therefore recommend taking our supplements on an empty stomach in the morning, ideally 15 to 30 minutes before your first meal. For some formulas, however, we recommend taking your supplements with a meal: this is the case, for example, with Hair & Scalp Boost, our hair food supplement.

Probiotic-based supplements

Did you know that probiotics have super powers when it comes to our intestinal well-being? That's why, at Aime, we've developed a range of food supplements formulated with probiotics to promote a healthy digestive system and restore normal transit.

Naturally present in our bodies, these "good bacteria" play an essential role in maintaining intestinal health and general well-being. When it comes to the gut, their benefits are well established... but they're not their only virtues! Probiotics also have positive effects on skin, hair and nails.
