Can you introduce yourself?

I'm Claire, a content creator and podcaster. I share my daily life on social media, everything I do to feel good, my activities and well-being tips. I'm originally from the south, the sun is very important to me, and I have the rhythm of life that goes with it. Since 2021, I've been hosting the podcast "SlowHer Stories," which I created with the aim of promoting female entrepreneurs who "sow beauty" through their business. I invite them to share their journey and what drives them.

What is your beauty routine?

The morning

When I wake up, I always drink a large glass of water, at room temperature. Before my shower, I practice dry brushing . I like the gentle exfoliation, and I find that it wakes up the body by activating the circulation of blood and lymph. Then I always do 10 minutes of meditation. I have breakfast, it's a fairly ritualized moment for me, which I find important. I make myself a bowl with seasonal fruits, proteins, oilseeds which are also very important for well-being and beauty. Then I do my morning skincare, which is not quite the same as in the evening. In the morning, I like to mix a vegetable oil with my day cream, I cleanse my skin more gently than the previous evening and I focus on hydration.

The evening

I always do half an hour of yoga at the end of the day. For my evening skincare, I double cleanse with an oil and a cleanser before applying a slightly richer balm to nourish my skin and soften it. I often do a Gua Sha massage after applying it to relax the skin. To end the day peacefully, I turn off my screens at 10:30 p.m., then I read for an hour before going to sleep.

When do you adapt this routine?

I adapt my skincare according to the periods of my cycle. In the first part of the cycle, my skin is really dehydrated and needs to be nourished a lot. And in the second part, it needs more balance and soothing, it is much more capricious. For me, this alternation works very well!

Do you consider yoga an integral part of your beauty routine?

Absolutely! It calms my mind, and when you feel calm and good in your head, it shows on your skin and on your face, what you give off is completely different, you radiate much more.

What advice would you give for successfully creating a routine and sticking to it?

These commitments need to be like appointments in your calendar, with reminders. At first, it's always difficult to be consistent. Since we know that it makes us feel good, little by little, we'll become more and more regular and gain self-esteem, because we say to ourselves 'I'm doing it! I'm managing to keep my own commitments and it really makes me feel good.' It's truly a virtuous circle. As with everything, you have to start gradually and, just like at work, you have to set achievable goals that fit into your daily life, otherwise it's guaranteed to make you feel guilty. You have to find what suits you best in terms of your wellness routine and for that, you have to test and adapt the duration, because even the shortest duration counts!

What boosts you when you're having a bad day?

To go for a walk, get some fresh air and listen to music, a “good mood” playlist. Moving , even if it’s just 15/20 minutes of Yoga or Pilates, definitely makes us feel better! And when things aren’t going well, I like to remind myself that nothing is permanent, it’s a thought that has helped me a lot during difficult times and that I find very true.

A wellness ritual you couldn't live without?

Where I really enjoy myself is when I finish my day to do yoga. My skincare routine is also a moment of pleasure, I do it while listening to a podcast, it's a moment that I give myself. Another essential beauty routine in my opinion is sleep! I always sleep at least 7 hours. And when I'm traveling, during the full moon which impacts my sleep or at certain times of the cycle, I take melatonin-based supplements like Sleep & Glow to promote better sleep.
